Brad Radke struck out 11 batters as the Langley Farm Team won at the ballpark
in dramatic fashion over the Jefferson Park Penguins, the final score, 3 to
2.
The game was won by Langley with a run in the 9th inning. After an out was
recorded, Joe Randa drew a walk. Richard Hidalgo followed, but he was set
down on strikes. Scott Whitley then called for a steal which was successful.
Toby Hall followed and he delivered a one-base hit giving Langley the win
and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. The game was a scoreless duel
until the 7th inning.
The victory went to Nate Robertson(2-1) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing
no runs. Guillermo Mota(0-1) took the loss in relief. He surrendered 1 run
and 1 hit in 2/3 of an inning.
